I am on the fence with the campus CCW issue. Being an undergraduate student, I get to see many of the petty disputes that occur over relationships or differences of opinion. I find that many of my colleagues do tend to have their wits about them, but they can easily get lost in emotional furor of a protest or argument. The University environment is an environment that fosters debate and does not allow for an escape from it. I'm not saying that disputes will result in shootouts, but that very small fraction will result in a death on campus. While the school shootings are terrible cases showing the poor protective effect of gun bans, would the sum of deaths from disputes gone wrong be worth it?
