As reported, a Sacramento, California Metro PCS employee reportedly used his gun to stop an armed robber who was threatening another employee. Police say that the robber entered the cell phone retailer, hopped over the counter while armed with a gun, and attempted to commit a robbery. I strongly encourage Iowa’s law-abiding gun owners to contact their state representatives to oppose these misguided bills, and support the pro gun bill House File 81 that was introduced by Iowa State Representative Matt Windschitl (R-17).
A case from Memphis, TN in which a robber preemptively shot his victim, demanded and received money, then shot the victim again, shows that compliance with a robber’s demands is no guarantee of safety. Instead, a crime victim’s best option is armed self defense.
Those opposed to gun rights are trotting out the idea of gun manufacturer liability again, despite the fact that the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (“PLCAA”), 15 U.S.C. §§ 7901-7903 (a Federal law) has made clear such liability does not exist:

As reported, a Garrard County, Kentucky homeowner used his gun to stop a burglar. Police say that the homeowner returned to his house just after 4:00PM, to find a burglar.
