As reported, a robber was shot by an armed store clerk in Houston, TX:Police say that at about 3:15 PM, a robber attempted to rob a Northeast Houston, TX convenience store. An employee of the store is said to have grabbed a gun and fired in self defense, striking the robber and ending the robbery attempt. A suspect was reportedly taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance.
Once again, guns are a valuable self defense tool. Unarmed individuals can suffer a terrible fate when a criminal robs them, even if they fully cooperate with the criminal’s demands. The same is true for those who try to run from the robber. Thankfully, this employee was armed for self defense.
