As reported, a concealed carry permit holder used his gun to save himself and a friend from an armed robber:
Police say that a concealed carry permit holder, who was also a military member who had just returned from an overseas deployment, was sitting in a car with another individual in Mount Auburn, OH. A robber, who was armed with a gun, reportedly approached the car, threatened the men’s lives, and shot one of the men in the arm. Acting in self defense, the concealed carry permit holder returned fire, hitting the robber in the stomach and causing him to flee, police say. The suspected robber, as well as the injured victim, were treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a local hospital, according to news reports.
The value of concealed carry should yet again be apparent. Had one of the crime victims not been armed, they both could have been killed by the violent robber. Fortunately, one of the victims was armed, and the robber was prevented from inflicting further harm.
