As reported, a man who attempted to rob a video game store was shot in self defense by the store owner:

Police say that a man entered the Play N Trade video game store in Fresno, California, and ordered everyone to the ground at gunpoint, intending to rob the business.  The owner, who was in a back room, reportedly grabbed her self defense gun and then shot the robber when she encountered him in the hallway.  After being shot, the robber is said to have fled, leaving the customers and the business owner unharmed.  The body of a suspect was reportedly found nearby about half an hour later.

Once again, guns are a valuable self defense tool.  Unarmed individuals can suffer a terrible fate when attacked by a violent criminal, even if they fully cooperate with that criminal’s demands.  The same is true for those who try to run away from the criminal.  Luckily, this robbery victim was armed for self defense, and as a result survived the attack unharmed.
