As reported, the NRA has endorsed Debbie Halvorson, a Democrat who is running for Congress in Illinois.
I’ve previously discussed the NRA’s endorsement of pro gun democrats, and this is yet another example. The NRA supports gun rights, and candidates who support gun rights, regardless of their political affiliation. The fact is that there are plenty of liberal gun owners, and gun rights fit in with liberal ideals. I sincerely wish that the Democratic party leadership and members would recognize these facts, rather than running anti gun candidates like Barack Obama and Joe Biden.
