As reported, a woman in the San Francisco area was jumped by four men, taunted for being a lesbian, repeatedly raped, and left naked outside an abandoned apartment building. The 28-year-old victim was attacked after she got out of her car, which bore a rainbow gay pride sticker.
I’ve discussed the problem of hate-motivated attacks before, and how such attacks show the need for armed self defense. Sadly, this point is lost upon some of the more liberal communities in the United States, which insist upon vilifying the best self defense tool yet invented by humans.
Note that these criminals were unarmed, and were still able to commit this rape. The fact is that one woman is almost never going to be able to fend off four attackers. Indeed, time and time again, unarmed women are unable to fend off a single rapist. A gun free situation tends to leads to the physically stronger and/or more numerous attackers prevailing.
Had this woman been armed, she could have defended herself the way that this woman, or this woman were able to do. Even against five attackers, a single armed citizen can effectively defend themselves. The gun is civilization, while an unarmed society is one where the physically strong are able to impose their will on the physically weaker.
San Francisco. 'Nuff said. I'm sure the wacky politicians in the Bay Area (home of the most ridiculously leftist politicians this side of Pyongyang) would find a way to blame this woman for antagonizing those poor, victim-of-society men who, in their frustration at the capitalist state of affairs, had to resort to violence.
