As reported, an armed resident used his gun to shoot one of the three armed and masked intruders who entered his home, saving himself and his family members:
Police say that at 3 AM, three masked men, who were armed with handguns, broke into a home on the 3100 block of Aster Street in Pueblo, CO with the intent of robbing the home’s occupants. Three men, a woman, and a 6-year-old girl were reportedly in the home at the time, and upon realizing what was happening, one of the men yelled for his brother to grab their self defense gun. Fearing for his safety, the brother reportedly fired two shots at an intruder, striking that criminal and sending the other two fleeing. A suspect, reportedly identified as 28 year old John Pete Sullivan, was found dead at scene, and the home’s occupants were unharmed, according to authorities. Police are seeking the other two suspects, and believe that another person may have been the one who planned the home invasion robbery attempt.
Home invasions are a deadly threat to the occupants of a home. The criminals who commit such crimes often murder, shoot, stab, rape, torture, kidnap, and permanently injure their victims. Fortunately, this man was prepared to defend himself and his family, and as a result was able to save them from 3 masked and armed intruders.
This shows the value of being armed especialy in a large city and well there will at least one less thug to steal from others
