As reported, a homeowner reportedly used his gun to fend off an intruder who broke in just before 9:00 AM:
Police say that the homeowner had just returned to his Louisville, TN home when he encountered a burglar in the residence. Acting in self defense, the homeowner is said to have fired a shot at the intruder, which sent him fleeing. The homeowner reportedly believes that his bullet struck the burglar, and police are searching for the suspect.
Home invasions are a deadly threat to the occupants of a home. The criminals who commit such crimes often murder, shoot, stab, torture, kidnap, and permanently injure their victims. The result is that the lives of law abiding, innocent people can be ended or ruined in an instant, all because of a criminal’s desire to make a quick buck. Fortunately, this homeowner was prepared to defend himself, and as a result survived this home invasion attempt unharmed.
