As reported, a woman in Aiken, South Carolina used her gun to stop an armed robber who was holding her boyfriend at gunpoint.
Police say that a woman and her boyfriend met two men at a gas station, intending to complete a used car sale that had been arranged on craigslist. When one of the men pointed a gun at the woman’s boyfriend and demanded money, the woman used her own gun to shoot the robber in self defense, according to news reports. No injuries to the couple were reported, and the coroner states that a robber died from his injuries.
Sexist individuals like to suggest that women are unable to use guns for self defense. Nothing could be further from the truth. The fact is that when women are armed, they are in the best position possible to defend themselves and/or their loved ones.
