As reported, a Corpus Christi, Texas concealed carry permit holder used his gun to stop an armed robber outside of his home.

Police say that a couple was returning to their home at about 9:00pm when a robber who was armed with a handgun approached them and demanded that the man hand over his wallet.  The 69 year old homeowner is said to have drawn and fired his gun in self defense, striking the suspect and putting and end to the robbery attempt.  Police reportedly arrived to find the man holding a 23 year old suspect to the ground, and that suspect is expected to live.

Once again, concealed carry has allowed a law abiding citizen to defend themselves against a violent attacker.  Gun control laws only serve to disarm the citizens who were not going to commit a crime in the first place, leaving them at the mercy of criminals who will gladly disobey the law and continue to possess a gun. Concealed carry works.  Gun control does not.
