Im having a really hard time getting the slide to work with the CARTRIDGE INTERRUPTOR

I tried to take the two small side Picatinny rails off of my Mossberg 500 Tri Rail. I removed the bolts but the two small rails will not come off. In fact, the nuts and I think a washer are now rattling around inside the fore grip. The forward end of the tube unscrewed but I still cannot get the plastic fore grip off. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
