As reported, an Albany, Georgia woman reportedly used her newly-purchased gun to stop a burglar:

News reports state that the woman had suffered a burglary on March 12, 2010, and as result decided to purchase a gun for self defense.  On the night of March 23, 2010, the woman was reportedly at home when she hear a burglar breaking in.  The woman is said to have grabbed her newly purchased gun and fired in self defense, striking a burglar and sending him fleeing.  Police reportedly arrested a suspect, identified as Michael Daniels, when he later arrived at a local hospital seeking treatment.  The woman was unharmed.

Yet again we have a woman who was able to defend herself with a gun.  Had this woman not been armed, she could have ended up like this woman or this woman – victimized in her own home.  Instead, thanks to her gun ownership and self action actions, she was unharmed – and a suspect is in custody.
