As reported, a robber was shot in self defense by his victim:

Police say that just before 11:30 PM, a robber attempted to rob a man at his home on Wisconsin Avenue, on the West side of Columbus, Ohio.  Acting in self defense, the homeowner reportedly shot the robber, striking him in the head and ending the attack.  Police arrived shortly thereafter to find a suspect, reportedly identified as 19 year old Jonathan Ford, on the house’s front porch, dead from a gunshot wound to the head, according to news reports.  No injuries to the homeowner were reported.

Once again, guns are a valuable self defense tool.  Unarmed individuals can suffer a terrible fate when attacked by a violent criminal, even if they fully cooperate with that criminal’s demands.  The same is true for those who try to run away from the criminal.  Luckily, this homeowner was armed for self defense, and as a result survived the attack unharmed.
