As reported, an Indianapolis, Indiana pizza delivery man used his gun to defend himself against two armed robbers.
Police say that the pizza delivery man arrived to a home near 36th Place and Richelieu Drive in Indianapolis, IN around 7:00pm, when a pair of armed robbers approached him. One of the robbers is said to have taken the pizza, while another pointed a gun at the pizza delivery man. Acting in self defense, the pizza delivery man is said to have grabbed and fired his own gun, striking one of the robbers and sending the other fleeing, according to news reports. A suspect, reportedly identified as a 15 year old male, is said to have been taken to a local hospital in critical condition. No injuries to the pizza delivery man or any bystanders were reported.
Pizza delivery drivers are often targeted by cowardly criminal who ambush them by ordering a pizza. All too often, the pizza delivery driver is killed by a criminal who values the few dollars that they are carrying more than human life. And this is another reason why I support concealed carry, as armed pizza delivery drivers can defend themselves like this man did, rather than being murdered while just trying to earn an honest living.
