As 7 year old boy was suspended from his Baltimore, Maryland school for allegedly eating a strawberry tart in a manner that caused it to look like a gun.

FoxBaltimore.com reports that Josh Welch, a second-grader at Park Elementary School in Baltimore, was eating a strawberry tart when he decided to shape it into a mountain.
“All I was trying to do was turn it into a mountain but, it didn’t look like a mountain really and it turned out to be a gun [kind of],” Josh told the station.
Josh, who suffers from attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, said his teacher was visibly mad when she saw that the pastry looked like a gun, according to the report.
I’ve previously discussed schools’ “zero tolerance” polices, and the injustice which can result – however this seems to be the most extreme example of heavy-handedness that I’ve seen from a school. A gun-shaped pastry poses no danger to anyone. Moreover, it appears that the boy was not even attempting to make the pastry into a gun shape.
And we let fools like this idiot tech out children?
