As reported, a Towson, MD store clerk used his gun to stop a pair of armed robbers.
Police say that right before 7:00pm, a pair of men entered Towson Wine and Spirits in Towson, Maryland and displayed a gun as part of a robbery attempt. The 68 year old clerk is said to have drawn his own gun and shot one of the robbers, causing them both to flee. The body of a suspect was reportedly found nearby, while the police are searching for the second suspect. No injuries to the clerk were reported.
Armed robberies are a deadly threat for the employees and patrons of a business. Had this clerk been unarmed, he could have ended up shot like this deli owner, this bakery worker, this man, or this woman, as criminals often shoot even those victims who fully cooperate. Attempting to run away often leaves a robbery victim shot as well, as this man learned. Luckily, this clerk was armed, and as a result was able to defend himself against this violent robbery attempt. As a result, he went home unharmed. Simply put, armed self defense works.
Dear sir, could I use some of your comments on some anti gun sites? Your syntax is must better than mine. I only disagree with you on one count and that is your choice of home defense weapons for semi to untrained citizens. I was the recipient of a home invasion . Shot 3 times and pronounced DOA. With both of them sporting .38’s there is only one hand gun that maybe could have saved me. It also has minimum chance of collateral damage which is a really big issue with me as I don’t have any desire to inflate a law firms bank account. Your comments are some of the best I have ever heard. People who are legally armed really need to read and understand the laws of lethal self defense. Lawsuits and facing a jury can be more devastating than the attacker as you know better than anyone.
Never let a criminal survive to testify.That will cut down on spurious litigation and give you a definite advantage if you have to testify in your own defense. The life you save will be your own as well as many others.
Shoot them in the foot then run like hell. Hide in the bushes, if no body shows up in 10 min go back and finish them off. Remove any proceeds of their criminal enterprise and use it to buy more cartridges or pay lawyer fees. For all the trouble caused, you might as well have some fun. Yes I agree.
