As reported, a man who attempted to rob a Church’s Chicken customer at knifepoint was shot in self defense by his victim:

Police say that at about 11:00PM, a robber who was armed with a boxcutter approached a man who was leaving a Church’s Chicken restaurant in Mobile, Alabama.  After being threatened by the robber, the man reportedly drew his self defense gun and fired, striking the robber in the neck and ending the attack.  A suspect, reportedly identified as 46 year old Randall Ford, was taken to a local hospital for treatment then charged with robbery, according to police.  No injuries to the armed crime victim were reported.

Once again, guns are a valuable self defense tool.  Unarmed individuals can suffer a terrible fate when attacked by a violent criminal, even if they fully cooperate with that criminal’s demands.  The same is true for those who try to run away from the criminal.  Luckily, this robbery victim was armed for self defense, and as a result survived the attack unharmed.
